I always find that when I look in mirror, I am always in one of two mind sets and never any other. I either want to see myself clearing, pore for pore, and this mindset usually operates before going out of the house. Doing make-up, plucking eyebrows, and checking for Spaghetti Bolognese chin sauce requires a stark bright light. It’s the type of light your grandmother would illogically say is better for you, probably because it hurts the eyes a little.
Now, the second mindset requires an altogether different type of light. Low warm lights are necessary when one does not want to clearly see their face as they know they'll be disappointed but there is little that they can do about it. This mindset usually comes into gear immediately after one has strayed from the house for over two hours. Something strange and abominable used to happen to my face every day when I was at school, it decomposed within 2 hours of entering the place. Stray towards the mirrors in the school toilets and the stark cold lighting would only bring home the sad state of a face. Now, the school toilets definitely should have had warm lighting, to boost adolescent self-confidence.
So what could be better than a light bulb which you can buy in both types of lighting for both moods? The e14 led bulbs come in the warm light and cold light varieties! Perfect! I know I’ve installed one and keep the other always close by, as screw cap bulbs, you can change them to suit your mood.
