Who said brains and good looks were exclusive? How LEDs got style
Historically, LED lights were considered the efficient but a little bit ugly alternative to your typical incandescent traditional light bulbs and halogen lamps. They were bulkier, didn’t always fit in standard fixtures and beamed a dull and listless light. That’s all changed now, as design and technology has evolved incredibly in recent years, so replacing halogen with LED is a total no-brainer. LEDs are, in the majority of cases, readily available in standard fittings, shapes and sizes. Plus, the quality of light has now usurped that of inefficient halogen lights. One benefactor of this was LED Hut customer Joanna from Wrexham, who recently replaced halogens with LED. And she was delighted with the look and quality of light from her new bulbs which matched her traditional light fittings. “Finally given the boot to more halogen bulbs that marred the enjoyment of chandelier lights” commented Joanna. “I’m quite serious about the LEDs amazing transformation. My husband is very energy conscious and therefore I’ve suffered for years with those horrible halogen alternatives, until now.” Joanna was also kind enough to send us over some great shots of the lights in situ.
